Hi, I’m Bonnie Gladfelter, a Personal Insurance Advisor. I would describe my work style as passionate, balanced, and communicative—because I truly care about helping people, I aim for a healthy work-life perspective, and I believe in listening first.
What I love most about my job is talking with clients and future clients—getting to know them, hearing their stories, and finding the best ways to protect what matters most in their lives. Someone makes me laugh every day, and that human connection is what keeps me going.
I got started in insurance not long after college, working at a health insurance company. A coworker who was working as a broker on the side encouraged me to get my insurance licenses. She became a mentor and helped me land my first job in the field, and I’ve been grateful for her guidance ever since.
One piece of advice I share often is that people should carry 7–10 times their salary in life insurance to help protect the ones they’d leave behind. Life is unpredictable—insurance should be your safety net, not your stressor.
I’m especially proud of earning my LUTCF designation. I studied for several years to deepen my understanding of life insurance so I can better support my clients.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband—especially on a Saturday morning, grabbing breakfast, visiting an antique store, and catching a movie. I also take great joy in caring for my backyard chickens (I love my girls!) and starting the day with a strong French press coffee with cream. Fun fact: I was a Girl Scout until my senior year of high school, and I think that experience helped shape my sense of service and community.
If I hadn’t gone into insurance, I probably would have pursued a legal career in family law—I’ve always had a heart for helping families. My faith is also a big part of who I am, and one of my favorite verses is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” When life feels like a lot, my husband reminds me, “One day at a time,”—and it’s some of the best advice I’ve ever received.
The community I serve is full of kind, thoughtful people who just want to be heard, and I feel honored every day to be someone they can count on.
And if you haven’t been to Copper Crust—well, you’re missing out.
