Hi, I’m Michelle Mundis, and I’m the bookkeeper. I’ve always had a love for numbers and organization, so this role fits me perfectly. I bring a detail-oriented mindset to everything I do—but what I really appreciate most is the flexibility it offers. It’s the ideal balance between meaningful work and time with my family.

My journey into the insurance world started years ago when I was working as a CPA. I helped audit a small insurance underwriting company, and that experience introduced me to the behind-the-scenes world of the industry. Even though I don’t work directly with clients, I know how important proper coverage is. My best advice? “Have enough life insurance to actually help your loved ones keep living.” It’s not always easy to talk about, but it truly matters.

One of the things I’m most proud of professionally is earning my CPA license. And just as importantly, I made the intentional decision to step away from that career to focus on being a mom. It was a big shift, but one that felt right—and it reflects what I value most.

Outside the office, I enjoy life’s quiet joys. Mornings usually start with a cup of blueberry tea, and yes—I really do enjoy reading tax and accounting manuals. I also take care of chickens and love spending Saturdays around a campfire with my family. It’s the simple things that bring the most peace.

I grew up right here in the community we serve, and I’ve always appreciated the closeness of small-town life. As I like to say, “If you were born here, half the county is related to you!” One of my favorite local spots is the New Eastern Market—it’s such a great reflection of the community.

A quote I live by is from Robert Frost: “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” That line has guided me through many of life’s decisions.

I’d describe myself as precise, neat, and helpful—and even though I might be a quieter presence in the office, I care deeply about the work I do. Every number tells a story, and I do my best to make sure they’re all in order.
